I recently enjoyed a stay at the Velet, and it left me with mixed feelings about the balance of luxury and value for money. Tucked away in the idyllic UK countryside, the hotel offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, which is a huge plus for anyone needing a wellness retreat, much like our beloved Bath. The services available include free Wi-Fi in public areas and spacious non-smoking rooms fitted with a flat-screen TV-ideal for unwinding after a day of hiking or skiing. The heating was efficient, ensuring warmth during those chilly evenings, and the paid shuttle service made accessing nearby trails effortless. While the amenities feel high-end, they're reflected in the price, so be prepared for a slightly steep bill. The terrace is a nice touch, but with no free parking, it adds to the overall cost. Ultimately, the Velet has its perks and can be worthwhile if you're looking for a serene escape. Balancing cost with charm, my advice is to weigh your options carefully.
